TheRole

TheElectricalEngineer will be working with theControls andMechanical Engineering teamson prototyping and perfectingsolar constructionautomation equipment from scratch.

Take part inequipment conceptual development and balance product specifications requirements complexity cost and lead-time.

Design and implement electrical schematics per national standards (UL508A NFPA79NFPA70/NEC etc.)

Conceiveexecuteandcontrolrobustsafety systems for manufacturing equipment as per nationalstandards (ANSI ISO etc.)

Select and size electricalcomponents and power distribution panels

Create manufacturing drawings and installation/user documentation

Oversee electrical cabinet builds inspection and field wiring

Build Terabase electrical specifications andstandards as well as enforcement thereof

Develop and manage suppliers for alldevelopmentphases including specification designacceptance and installation of electrical equipment and cabinets

Defineandmaintainproper documentationfor all electrical equipmentand associated usage procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineeringor Mechatronic Engineering

At least3years of relevantprofessional experience designing electricalsystems andschematicsin industrial settings

Advancedproficiencyin designing electrical and power distribution systems in AutoCAD or EPLAN (AutoCAD Electrical preferred).

Ability to communicate with team members and business partnerseffectively

Approach each day with asense of urgency

Hands-onexperience working on industrial equipment

Proficiencyselectingappropriate circuitprotectors wire and cable sensors safety hardware PLC hardware remote I/O VFD and servo systems

In-depthknowledge of electrical designcompliancefor different regions includingnational standards(UL508A NFPA79NFPA 70/NEC etc.)

Proficiencyin field network topology both theory and practical applications

Experience creating andmaintainingproject documentation EPLAN projects drawings inspections permits etc.

Travel 20-30%

This role offers a base salary of $120000 $130000 (DOE)

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
