About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive professional with a dual qualification in Personal Care Assistant (PCW) and Leisure & Lifestyle to join our team.

This unique role involves working closely with a dedicated group of residents within our Memory Support Unit delivering high-quality personal care while also facilitating meaningful engagement and lifestyle activities that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.

The successful candidate will work 11:00am 6:00pm supporting residents through both care and activity-based interactions in a warm person-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
• Contribute to the physical emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents through assessment and observation.
• Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse and as documented in the residents plan of care.
• Assist the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence

About you

• Certificate III in individual support or equivalent recognised qualification and Cert III or Cert IV in Leisure & Health
• Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Demonstrated flexibility empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs
• Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care
• Demonstrated respect for residents privacy dignity and self esteem
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
