Location: Greensboro North Carolina
Compensation: $28.56 $33.76 per hour (based on experience)
Shifts Available: 7pm7am 7am7pm 12-hour shift

About the role a day in the life
Step onto the plant floor where your expertise keeps production humming. Youll move from diagnosing an unexpected motor fault to tuning a VFD from interpreting a control schematic to tracking down a ground fault. Youll balance electrical troubleshooting with hands-on mechanical work ensuring equipment is cleaned lubricated adjusted and back online fast.
Core responsibilities
- Execute and assist with major/minor electrical repairs: service and install 480V three-phase motors; troubleshoot/repair motor starter circuits; work with VFD drives photoelectric sensing devices proximity switches EStop circuitry and ground-fault detection.
- Use precision tools and test gear for electrical systems including amp meter ohm meter test lamp and megger.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and symbols; apply electrical theory including Ohms Law.
- Diagnose complex issues across the plant with emphasis on AC/DC drives PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and motor control circuits.
- Apply foundational mechanical skills with pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventive care: clean lubricate and adjust equipment to sustain reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment; identify faults and root causes.
- Disassemble repair/replace and maintain machinery such as motors conveyors pumps belts and chains.
- Leverage mechanical prints and technical data during equipment installs and repairs.
- Read and interpret PI&D (P&ID) drawings.
What you bring
- Either a 2-year Industrial Electrical degree or 12 years of equivalent experience in an industrial environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and high-lift/aerial equipment.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with proven electromechanical troubleshooting and repair ability.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Self-directed; able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned.
