Role specifics extend to guiding post-anesthesia care with vigilance and compassion. The PACU RN will perform continuous assessments of airway breathing circulation; monitor heart rhythm oxygenation and pain levels; manage nausea and agitation; coordinate with anesthesia surgeons and postoperative units to determine readiness for transfer; ensure safe handoffs with clear documentation; and contribute to comprehensive postoperative recovery plans discharge education and family communications.
