Location: Scottsdale Arizona Arizona Dermatopathology
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 6am-2:30pm
Full-time: Benefit Eligible

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager; The Laboratory Supervisor assists with day-to-day supervision of assigned lab personnel assists with implementing lab safety and quality programs will train lab staff on use of equipment and on procedures and will perform a full range of routine and specialized procedures in the pathology laboratory. The Lab Supervisor serves as a technical resource for troubleshooting and uses independent judgment and resources to resolve problems.

• Performs tasks normally associated with supervision such as hiring training coaching scheduling directing and appraising the work of assigned staff.

• Maintain proficiency and training requirements.

• Ensure compliance with all local federal and CLIA regulations.

• Assist in staff development and training.

• Assists the Lab Manager in the maintenance/upkeep of CLIA documentation and records (including supervising/verifying completion of daily records and tracking documents) and preparation for CAP and CLIA inspections.

All you need is:

• Possesses an Associate degree in Histology Biology Chemistry or other related field a Bachelor degree is preferred; degree must satisfy the CLIA standards for Grossing Surgical Specimens (24 course hours of Biology and Chemistry combined)

• 5 or more years experience in the histology field

• Hold and maintain the HT or HTL (ASCP) certification.

• May accept additional education and/or experience in lieu of certification when certification is not a jurisdictional requirement for the job.
