Maintenance Lead Union City Foundry
Hours: 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. MondayFriday (some Saturdays)
Starting pay: $23.00 per hour
Pay increases at 90 days 1 year and annually thereafter
Profit-sharing bonuses twice per year after one year of service
Job Summary:
A foundry maintenance lead oversees all maintenance activities within a metal casting facility to ensure the safe
reliable and efficient operation of equipment and machinery. This involves leading and managing a small team of
maintenance helpers developing and executing preventative maintenance plans and coordinating repairs to
minimize production downtime.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct the daily work of maintenance helpers in a foundry environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation and for defects such
as loose connections and frayed wires.
Install repaired equipment in various settings.
Converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to determine what the root cause
of the issue is.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as greasing cleaning and repairing equipment to
detect and prevent problems.
Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
Repair and adjust equipment machines and defective components replacing worn parts.
Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems repairs calibrations and tests.
Provide guidance and direction to maintenance helpers.
Other various maintenance tasks
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
6 years of maintenance experience preferred.
Electrical and Welding experience a plus.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods working on feet using tools and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent
