Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Leader / Vertical Head to drive strategic growth across Industrial Automation and Digital Transformation solutions in the U.S. market. This role will focus on new business development client acquisition and revenue growth within either the Life Sciences (Pharma/Biotech) or Utilities/Water vertical.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of selling engineering software and automation solutions to manufacturing enterprises and building long-term executive-level relationships while leading high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across target industry verticals
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with organizational goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders
- Identify and close large complex deals in industrial automation and digital transformation
- Lead mentor and scale high-performing sales teams
- Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to create tailored client solutions
- Manage sales pipeline forecasting and revenue targets
- Conduct executive presentations and solution demonstrations
- Analyze market trends competition and emerging technologies
- Ensure consistent YoY profitable revenue growth
Core Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field
- 10 years of experience in new business development and enterprise sales
- Proven track record selling engineering software or industrial automation solutions
- Experience selling to manufacturing industrial or regulated enterprise environments
- Demonstrated success in C-suite selling and large deal closures
- Strong financial acumen with quota achievement history
- Experience leading and mentoring sales teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 40%
Vertical Expertise (Either of the following)
Life Sciences / Pharma / Biotech
- 10 15 years experience in GxP/GMP-regulated environments
- Experience with MES platforms (Ignition PAS-X Pharma Suite)
- Knowledge of validation processes and compliance requirements
- Experience selling digital transformation and automation solutions in pharma manufacturing
OR
Utilities / Water
- Experience with SCADA/HMI systems (Ignition Wonderware FactoryTalk)
- Knowledge of PLC/DCS systems and industrial control environments
- Exposure to OT cybersecurity and industrial infrastructure
- Experience driving automation/digital transformation initiatives in utilities sector
