Summary:
-
Lead and support manufacturing teams in installation design development and testing of aircraft and spaceflight systems
-
Fabricate and assemble avionics LRUs and harnesses; integrate onto vehicle
-
Construct and install avionics components including:
-
Perform troubleshooting and provide technical guidance
-
Ensure quality accuracy and efficiency of installations
-
Follow assembly instructions for complex project builds
-
Promote safety culture and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention
-
Maintain regulatory compliance and proper handling of hazardous materials
-
Collaborate across teams to meet program milestones
Requirements:
-
747 wide-body C & D check experience required
(Also acceptable: 777 Airbus A330 A350 A380)
-
A&P License REQUIRED
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum 7 years as a technician in aerospace or manufacturing
-
Experience with aircraft wire harness fabrication and installation
-
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and digital models
-
Familiarity with IPCA-620 standards (certification a plus)
-
Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
-
Proficient in computer-based work instructions
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-
Familiar with proper PPE usage
-
Strong stable work history
-
Ability to work independently at a very senior level
-

Fiber optics
-
Wiring and wire harness fabrication
-
Build and integration of harness assemblies
-
Avionics LRU fabrication and installation
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:

Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) training

Experience leading projects and mentoring technicians
-
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
-
Experience providing quality repairs on malfunctioning systems
-
Strong communication skills (timely respectful open to ideas)
-
Safety-first mindset with strong housekeeping and tool control practices
-
Willingness to learn cutting-edge spacecraft manufacturing techniques
