Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced RN Manager Mother Baby to lead a 22-bed Mother Baby unit within a large regional acute care hospital in Southeast Georgia. This is a full-time leadership opportunity overseeing daily operations clinical quality and staff performance in a high-performing Womens Services department.
The unit maintains an average daily census of approximately 15 patients and includes 29.5 FTEs under leadership. This role reports directly to the Director of Womens Services.
Key Responsibilities
Plan organize staff and direct daily operations of the Mother Baby unit
Supervise RNs Unit Secretaries and CNAs
Develop and implement departmental policies procedures and care standards
Ensure high-quality postpartum and newborn patient care
Collaborate with leadership to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
Provide mentorship and oversight to an experienced nursing team
Monitor staffing levels workflow productivity and regulatory compliance
Support quality initiatives and performance improvement efforts
Qualifications
Active RN license (Georgia or Compact/Multi-State)
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required; Masters preferred
BLS and ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross) required
NRP required within 60 months if not currently certified
3 years recent RN experience in Womens Services (acute care required)
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
Strong clinical and leadership background in Mother/Baby or Postpartum care
