Job Summary
Position : Renewable Energy Underwriter
Location : Madrid Spain
Job Purpose:
To Underwrite in conjunction with the other team members with responsibility for this geographic area a profitable book of business located in Spain and Latin America.
To be responsible for client and broker relationships production of new business opportunities and the tailoring of terms and conditions specific to this geographic area.
To contribute positively to the renewable energy underwriting team and to Tokio Marine HCC in general.
Key Responsibilities:
Profitability of the Spanish / Latin American book
Production of new business opportunities in both direct and reinsurance
Building and maintaining broker and client relationships
Compliance with all underwriting rules limitations and guidelines
Production of a complete underwriting file for each risk written in line with the standard underwriting procedures and processes in place at TMHCC
Willingness to travel when appropriate to visit clients and brokers.
Skills and Experience Specification:
experience within renewable energy insurance or related business classes (energy power construction)
Fluent Spanish speaker
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective communicator and negotiator
Personable and collaborative nature
