Job Summary

About the Role

The Project Officer Events will coordinate the planning delivery and evaluation of small and large scale events across regional NSW. From field demonstrations on working farms to industry conferences and stakeholder workshops youll ensure every event is purposeful engaging and aligned to program objectives.

Your work will help drive digital adoption and innovation across regional NSW connecting farmers industry and government through events that inform inspire and deliver measurable outcomes.

Working closely with the Senior Project Lead and project team youll translate strategy into action managing logistics stakeholders suppliers and communications to deliver events on time within budget and with strong stakeholder engagement.

Youll use key systems such as:

  • Blackthorn Events for registrations and attendee management
  • Salesforce for stakeholder tracking and reporting
  • ClickUp for project planning task coordination and collaboration

This is a hands-on end-to-end events role with influence across the agricultural sector.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement targeted event engagement strategies aligned to program objectives
  • Coordinate end-to-end event logistics including run sheets briefings stakeholder mapping documentation and on-the-day delivery.
  • Manage technical and operational requirements ensuring presenters demonstrations and materials are prepared tested and aligned to audience needs.
  • Oversee procurement and supplier management ensuring quality outcomes within budget
  • Monitor and evaluate event outcomes gathering feedback and insights to improve future events and stakeholder engagement.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering government or industry events such as field days conferences demonstrations or stakeholder workshops.
  • Experience coordinating logistics suppliers presenters and venue staff to deliver seamless events.
  • Experience and understanding of key NSW agricultural industry sectors and the unique considerations of hosting events in rural and farming communities.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in event management or project coordination preferably within government agriculture or regional development contexts.
