About the role:
Raytheonarelooking for a Quality Engineer for theSensors& RadarBusiness to theSenior Quality Engineerthis roleshallbe responsible fordeliveringQuality Assurance in line with the Quality Management System and Quality Policy across theSensorsbusiness unit. QA Engineer shall also be integrated and aligned to the respective program team(s).
Working as part oftheQA Team conducting day to dayQuality Assuranceactivities whilst engaging with key stakeholders acrosstheorganisation.
Candidate Requirements:
- Writing and reviewing Quality Planscustomeror official standard documentation
- Ability to review & interpret technical drawings and/or test
- Developing andmaintainingsound productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Working Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102.
- Performing audits of products and processes within aprogramor business.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levelsand technical SMEs.
- Guiding and supportingother team members and stakeholders in the needs of the business from aCompliance andQA perspective.
- Using SAP for QA related activities
- Working with suppliers to resolve QualityIssues
Knowledge/Experience
- Self-starter flexible and positive attitude. Team Player.
- Knowledge of or conversant withStandards ISO9001 and or AS9100
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance Internal Auditing and8DsRCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies GEMBA
- Stakeholder Managementand a proactive approach to risk reduction and continuous improvement
- Excellent verballisteningand written communication skills at all business levels
- Working knowledge of SAP for QA activities
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality EngineeringOrganisations
Desirable:
- ISO Auditor Trained(ISO9001 and or AS9100)
- Awareness of IPC soldering std.
- Knowledge ofAPQP/PPAP AQAPs
Responsibilities
- Ensure the Quality Management System processes and process control documentation are compliant with requirementsobjectivesand/or contracts.
- Lead Quality Working Groups to diagnose and mitigate product non-conformitiesidentifiedinternally and and Non-Conformance Management
- Providing advice to allProgramLeads on the quality aspects of the work being undertaken.
- Ensuring compliance with standardsidentifyingissues recommending solutions and creating quality documentation. Defect investigation to identify/address root cause
- Perform the quality activities within theSensorsProgramsin support of theDesign activitiesrespective Quality Assurance Plans i.e. First Article Inspections Source Inspections support to Quality Assurance Working Groups checks on incoming and outgoing of Conformance.
- ConductingInternal Audits with effective andtimelymonitoring and status reporting for assigned ownersof audit findings
- Assist the Engineering & Manufacturing teams define requirements for new products
- Customer liaison on any External Customervisitsqualityauditsor meetings.
- Concession managementQuality support tothe technical design organization andprogram reviews.
