About the Role: College Psychologist

Employment Type: Contract for 2026 (Maternity Cover) with the possibility of ongoing employment
FTE: Part time (0.2 0.6 FTE)
Start Date: April 2026


South Coast Baptist College is seeking a compassionate and qualified College Psychologist to join our Student Services this role you will support the wellbeing of students from Kindergarten to Year 12 through evidence-based psychological services contributing to a safe supportive and nurturing school environment.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant psychology qualifications and registration (minimum requirement)
  • Experience supporting children adolescents and families
  • Demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload
  • Commitment to supporting students within a Christian school context
  • Sound professional judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality


Essential Criteria:

  • A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Active participation in a church or Christian community exemplifying Christian beliefs behaviour and practices.
  • Acceptance of the Colleges Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board Principal staff students and parents.
  • Commitment to personal best practice.
  • Ensure decisions are impartial fact-based and fair.
  • Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.
  • Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
  • Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the Colleges values and policies.
  • Possession of the following certifications:
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate

Please note: SCBC is advertising for both a College Psychologist and College Counsellor role; however onlyone position is available. Appointment will be made based on the candidate whose qualifications and experience best meet the needs of the College.
