What will I do Youll set up and run a press brake on 1st or 3rd shift forming custom parts to blueprint and work-instruction requirements. Youll plan the work execute accurate bends (offsets large radii standard) verify quality at each step and keep detailed records in the Traverse Manufacturing System.
How does a typical shift look
- Review blueprints and operation sheets; determine tooling and order of operations.
- Perform machine setup and first-article checks.
- Run production measuring parts with calipers (dial and vernier) micrometers squares and height gauges to AQL standards.
- Track good/scrap counts; complete production paperwork and system entries.
- Report dimensional concerns to a supervisor or setup lead; immediately notify management of equipment issues.
- Maintain tools and gauges; keep the work area clean organized and safe.
