Job Summary

Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in the exciting field of Aerospace and Defense KBR is looking for a highly self-motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate to design and document modifications for multiple US DoD Customers in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will under supervision create mechanical designs drawings and applicable Mechanical Engineering documentation to support multiple aircraft

Roles and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision independently evaluates selects and applies standard engineering techniques procedures and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
Assists more senior Mechanical Engineers in the design of larger and more complex design tasks which involve conventional types of plans investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features.
Assists more senior Mechanical Engineers in the performance of on-site Engineering Surveys of customer aircraft
Under direct supervision supports installations of new and modified equipment onto existing customer aircraft

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited degree program
0 to 3 years experience designing and documenting Mechanical Systems
Existing SECRET clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Solid Works
Ability to read and interpret typical Mechanical Engineering documentation (i.e. mechanical drawings weight and balance reports structural loads analyses etc.)
Proficient with Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to read and apply Military ASME ASE Specifications as they relate to Mechanical Design
Knowledge of GD&T practices and application
Experience PDM or other PLM tools
Experience with US Army aviation
