The Hampshire Clinic is part of Circle Health Group Britains leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for an Infection Prevention and Control Lead to join their team of staff in thenursing department.

This is a part time role for 22 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Lead on the implementation and monitoring of the hospitals infection prevention and control strategy.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation regulations and guidance (e.g. CQC HIS HTM 01-05 and national IPC standards).
• Oversee surveillance of healthcare-associated infections antibiotic resistance and outbreaks.
• Investigate and report IPC incidents supporting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of action plans.
• Deliver IPC training to all levels of staff as part of induction mandatory training and ongoing development.
• Provide expert advice and support to clinical teams ensuring best practice in hand hygiene aseptic technique PPE use and decontamination.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) or relevant healthcare professional with active NMC/HCPC registration.
• Significant experience in infection prevention and control.
• Strong knowledge of current IPC legislation national guidance and audit standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence practice across all staff levels.
• Experience in incident investigation audit and delivering staff training.
