We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor & Social Media Specialist to transform long-form podcast episodes into high-impact short-form content. This role focuses on producing engaging platform-optimized videos designed to increase audience retention and drive engagement across TikTok Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
The ideal candidate understands digital storytelling social media behavior and how to capture attention within the first few seconds of a video. This position requires strong editing skills content instincts and the ability to consistently deliver polished videos on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities
Edit weekly podcast episodes into short-form videos for TikTok Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
Identify compelling hooks and create engaging story arcs within short clips
Add captions motion graphics sound design and visual enhancements to improve viewer retention
Optimize videos according to platform best practices and algorithm preferences
Collaborate with the team on content direction scheduling and trend integration
Review performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase reach and engagement
Requirements
Proven experience creating short-form social-first video content
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro CapCut Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Solid understanding of TikTok Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts algorithms
Ability to identify viral moments and craft strong hooks quickly
Strong communication skills and ability to meet weekly deadlines
Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely
Required Skills:
Proven hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub (workflows emails lists landing pages) Strong understanding of funnels lead nurturing and basic CRM logic Experience executing email and content campaigns Experience managing business social media accounts Strong written English communication skills Highly organized reliable and execution-focused Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
