Summary

As a Freight Forwarder you will be responsible for managing and coordinating shipments while maintaining clear professional communication with customers and logistics partners. This role requires strong interpersonal skills attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues efficiently to ensure a smooth shipping process and high customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Timely and effective communication with customers partners and internal departments via email and phone.
• Track and monitor shipments providing proactive updates to customers on delivery status.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships addressing inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism.
• Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve shipment-related challenges.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to shipment documentation and coordination.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and international shipping regulations.

Educational background / Work Experience

• Prior experience in freight forwarding logistics or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in customer service or operations roles within express shipping courier services or transportation companies is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and resolve service issues.
• Familiarity with shipment tracking systems customs documentation and international logistics processes.

• Ability to perform basic calculations including cost and rate estimations.

• Strong customer orientation and commitment to service excellence.
• Effective time management and task prioritization.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Quick learner with adaptability to new systems and processes
• Skilled in conflict resolution and handling challenging customer interactions professionally

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes

• Familiarity with courier parcel express logistics and customs clearance procedures
• Understanding of international trade laws and regulatory requirements

Language skills

• Fluency in English is required.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as at will employees. For this position the expected base pay is: $22.50 - $30.50 / Hour. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge skills experience geographic location and other objective business considerations.
