Job Summary

Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Electrician supports facility electrical infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable daily operations. This role is geared toward early-career electricians with foundational industrial or commercial electrical experience who can work under guidance from senior maintenance or facilities staff.

This position focuses on preventive maintenance basic troubleshooting and installation support within manufacturing lab warehouse and office environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on facility electrical systems (lighting outlets panels basic controls)
Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues across facility and production-support equipment
Support installation of conduit wiring disconnects and electrical components
Read and follow basic electrical schematics and work instructions
Support equipment moves installs and facility upgrade projects
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) arc flash and electrical safety procedures
Complete maintenance work orders and document completed work
Escalate complex troubleshooting to senior electricians or facilities leadership
Maintain clean and organized work areas consistent with 5S standards

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
2 years hands-on electrical experience (industrial commercial facilities or military equivalent)
Basic understanding of electrical theory and safe work practices
Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
Familiarity with hand tools meters and electrical test equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments
