Description of Work
We are currently recruiting for Clinical Social Workers at Whitaker PRTF. As part of the Child and Family Services Section it provides residential care supervision and educational services for 18 youth ages 13-17 with complex behavioral emotional psychological and neurological disorders. It also provides community liaison support services for students and families with a staffing complement of 72 full-time clinical educational residential and support positions.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $52592.00 - $92036.00
A Sign-on bonus of $5000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.

This position is Exempt from certain provisions of The State Human Resources Act (GS 126)
This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. The normal work schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. flexible; however flexibility is required to meet facility needs.
To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.
An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government including the judicial system or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
