The operator will perform all room functions including Production andCIPpipe changestransferhook ups department cleaning (MSS) Operator Cares and production logs (data sheets). The operator will usegood timemanagement to determineappropriate trailerswaps break timing and materialsprepkeeping the room operational to meet production schedule needs. Conducts effective communication relevant to shift and plant Functions of the Job:Responsible foroperatinga forklift to movelocate relocate stack rail and count and prepare product for Staging using FIFO/FEFO ensuring that the exact number and type of product is used in an efficient manner that meets production standardsMonitors and understand OEE and yield for improvements (operational KPIs)Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas to production areaOperate and be accountable for the safe and efficient operation ofthe vehiclesincluding Forkliftsand all product ingredients are accurately labeled and free of damage reporting any quality variancesKeepappropriate recordsand reports toguaranteethat inventory control and security physical inventories and proper stock rotationMaintain all forkliftinspectionprior to shift required quality checks toensurestandards are clean and organizedareaaround communications within the plant ensuring smooth shift transitions and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties involving area wraps stickersandreturnsinoracle to proper technicians inappropriate other production team members for breaks and absences prepares andmaintainsall area prepares andmaintainsall area forums and data sheets in RedzoneParticipatein chats and huddles in withGood manufacturing practices (GMPs) and Master sanitation (MSS).Maintains overall area housekeeping and facility SQF all other duties as Accountabilities:SafetyFamiliarizes with SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and to all plant safety rulesReports near misses and accidents in Redzone. Also to the production supervisor and or HR representativeServes an active role the plant safety programs byParticipatingin monthly safety inspections and reporting any potential safety hazards to the safety committee or ManagementQuality:Adheres to all Quality Assurance System make machine adjustmentsFollowsSOPson truck inspection for loading and unloadingFollowsSOPsfor use of equipment foraccurateproduct SSOPs accurately for effectiveCIP/COPsAbility to accurately titrate chemistry for verification of chemical strengthResponsible for compliance with the HACCP & SQF programMust adhere to and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Responsible foraccuratedocumentationMaintenanceWhen Maintenance is occurring in your work area it is the expectation toassistthe Maintenance Technicians in any capacity needed toexpeditethe repair equipment is in a state ofdisrepairthese items must be reported ASAP to a clean and organized work areaAssistsall areas of the plant with general housekeepingCooperates with other shifts and the management team in housekeeping endeavorsCommunicationsAs a member of the Production team ensures effective shift communication and teamwork with other operatorsoccurseach scheduled effective communication with members of the support Handheld radios and RedzoneTabletsemployees are expected to be professional and respectful when communication with Shift Supervisor as well as Production ManagerTeamwork and TrainingSunOpta employees will attend plant training and contributes to the development ofa strong well among co-workers in a team conduct a positive and professional attitude while on the coaching and training employees as requested by the management DevelopmentContinuously improve your knowledge of SP department processes and familiar with Redzone and SunOpta and adheres to the Annual Alchemy Responsibilities:NoneMinimum Qualifications:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorilythe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or forallallergens and how to prevent cross contamination. Must be able to stand and work forlong periodsof time (12) aminimum of30-50 jacks and lifts with heavy to learndepartmentand other departments as :Must be able to run/CIP/maintainall department equipment and surrounding departments as to learn and help perform maintenance on valves and other connections within the department and surrounding areaWillingness to learn Skid Loader and Yard Truck usage as it relates to department needsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve basic issues associated with the department equipment and surrounding areaAbility to assess a situation and make quick andaccuratedecisions that will aid in productionUnderstand terminology related to the department equipment and surrounding equipmentAll Other duties as :Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent :Entry level willing to Learn Train and Coach as and Skills:Working knowledge of business computer and math preferred. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment set priorities to meet deadlines handle multiple tasks and make decisions under pressure being able to work with minimal or no supervision.
