How youll make an impact

• You take initiative:Collaborate with a global and inter-disciplinary team of researchers in Hitachi Energy Research todrive the developmentfrom concept to MVP and partner with product/software teams to bring solutions to production.You propose novel ideas and concepts for the nextnextgeneration of power systems

• Youcollaborate:Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge andexpertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities start-ups and vendorsto integrate diverse perspectives and stakeholder inputs

• Youinvestigate:Translate realpower systemproblems into rigorous models and design computational experiments to quantify accuracy and robustness; ensure reproducibility with versioned code and data.Design innovative approaches for grid operation and deliver them as prototypesoradvancedconcepts

• You communicate:Disseminateyour results in scientific publications patent applications and technical reports.Produce clear design docs and developer-facing examples/ notebooks that enable reuse

Your background

• PhD inElectrical/Power Systems Engineering Automation Computer Science MathematicsorMastersdegree with equivalent industry experience

• Provenexpertiseintechnical background inone or multiplepower systems areas

• Demonstrated hands-onpower system software tools such as PSCADDigsilentPowerFactoryor simila

• Strategic thinker pushing the boundaries of power systemsoperations

• Excellent communication skillsin English team player attitudeinitiativeandcreativity

• Experience incontrol roomorfield operations experience at DSO/TSO regulatorybody or similar is a plus

• Experience in high-level programming (e.g. Python) is a plus
