- Core responsibilities include: performing thorough patient assessments; managing and ventilating patients with diverse respiratory needs; optimizing weaning protocols and weaning-ready protocols; implementing airway clearance techniques secretion management and chest physiotherapy; administering aerosolized therapies medications and oxygen therapy; interpreting ABGs monitoring trends and adjusting plans in collaboration with the care team; educating patients and families on pulmonary care prevention strategies and discharge planning; and documenting care in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
