Generates dose distributions accurately and calculates computerized isodose plans for the patient as prescribed by a radiation oncologist and directed by a medical physicist.Job Description
Computes radiation dose distributions generates isodose curves and documents in the radiation oncology electronic record effectively. May provide direction or assistance with challenging simulation setups or custom treatment devices. Extensive knowledge of radiation anatomy normal tissue contouring medical imaging fusion and cross-sectional anatomy is required. Consults with and works as a part of a radiation oncology team to deliver individualized treatment. Must be able to perform dosimetry procedures with the departments treatment planning computers and protocols.Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in one of the following: Radiation Therapy Radiation Science or Radiography and graduation from a Medical Dosimetry Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program of at least 12 months.
