Job Summary
RN Nurse Educator
Location: Brooklyn NY (may also provide support at a secondary site in the Bronx NY)
Department: Nursing Inservice Education
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 5 Days per Week 8 Hours per Day
Shift Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40
Compensation
Gross Weekly Pay: $3493 per week
Position Overview
A large healthcare organization in New York City is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Educator to support inpatient nursing education and clinical training initiatives. This role focuses on staff development competency validation and clinical education across multiple inpatient units.
The Nurse Educator will work closely with nursing leadership and frontline clinical teams to ensure high-quality standardized nursing practice and compliance with clinical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing education and clinical instruction to inpatient nursing staff
Support educational initiatives for:
Labor & Delivery
NICU
Postpartum
Pediatric units
Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and clinical standards
Assist with new hire onboarding competencies and ongoing staff education
Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary clinical teams
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience (required)
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
Strong overall clinical background
Current AHA BLS Certification
Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
Primary Source Verification of RN license through NYSED
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Nursing Education or a related field
