From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain Americas infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.

Step into Your New Role

As aConstruction Field Inspector you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance standards codes and ordinances zoning regulations as well as contract plans specifications and special provisions. The projects are primarily for environmental land repurposing projects including grading trenching foundations access roads and utility interconnections.This position is available in Beaumont Texas.

Responsibilities:

Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards codes and specifications.
Prepares daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.
Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.
Coordinate and perform field testing of materials associated with inspection as required.
Implement quantity calculations for pay estimates.
Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork grading profiles and special staking procedures.
Communicates verbally and in writing with contractor owner and project stakeholders as directed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years in the field or in trade-related training in a design construction inspection construction materials engineering/testing or other construction related field.
Knowledge and experience with equipment used in construction inspection and field testing of construction materials.
Must be able to read write comprehend and speak English fluently.
Attendance punctuality and reliability are essential requirements.
Familiarity with use of PC-based computer systems and/or tablet systems.
Current/valid State Drivers License REQUIRED with acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a fingerprint/background check.
