This position is Contingent Upon Contract Award.
The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing conducting and documenting training curricula / programs to ensure all maintenance inspection and alteration personnel are qualified and capable of performing their assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain training curricula and programs for maintenance and inspection personnel.
- Conduct training sessions and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Document all training activities and maintain accurate training records.
- Assess personnel qualifications and provide remedial training as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisors to identify training needs and implement solutions.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and inspection.
- Experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
- Strong knowledge of FARs QCM and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rotary-wing aircraft.
- Prior work in a military or government aviation environment.
- Certification in instructional design or adult learning principles.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and customer service; able to coordinate across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Detail oriented with high accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Strong organizational time management and follow up skills. Able to prioritize competing demands.
Training & Certifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (required).
FAA regulatory / compliance training (preferred).
Production control / logistics certification (e.g. APICS / CPIM or equivalent) (preferred).
OSHA 10 or Safety training (preferred).
Clearance Requirement
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance as required by the contract (Public Trust or Secret level as applicable).
Work Conditions
- Contingent upon contract award.
- Primarily office / production-support setting with frequent interaction with multiple departments and shared services.
