Job Summary
Join a forward-thinking renewable energy team working on modern solar and hybrid power systems. Were looking for a practical problem-solving Solar Technician who enjoys fault-finding working in the field and keeping critical energy infrastructure running efficiently and safely.
Job Description:
- Monitor plant performance using SCADA and identify faults
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on solar PV BESS generators and LV/MV systems
- Troubleshoot underperformance and restore uptime quickly
- Compile maintenance and performance reports
- Provide technical support and guidance to site operators and clients
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts when required
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 35 years experience in solar PV and battery storage systems
- Valid drivers license
- Strong electrical fault-finding and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and travel to sites
Qualification:
Trade Test: Electrical or National Diploma Electrical
Wiremans License (Advantageous)
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
