M Health Fairview Addiction Medicine specializes in the diagnosis prevention treatment and recovery of individuals with substance use disorders (SUD). We have a multi-disciplinary and diverse team to serve any/all needs related to substance use and mental health concerns. For more information please visit this position you will:
- Provide inpatient coverage on the University of Minnesota Medical Center Chemical Addiction Detoxification Unit (Station 3A).
- Manage patients admitted for alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal as well as some patients with complicated opiate withdrawal.
- Do H&Ps progress notes and discharge summaries as well as lead the daily treatment team meeting.
Your schedule:
- Casual
- M-F with optional weekends
Compensation and Benefits:
- M Physicians will provide compensation in the amount of $163/hr
- This casual position is not benefits-eligible. M Physicians will provide Professional Liability/Medical Malpractice Insurance.
Qualifications:
- Current certification by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) in thesubspecialty of Addiction Medicine.
- Must have board certification in their primary specialty (including American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP).
- Completion of an Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship
- Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
