Job Summary: Provides specialized critical care nursing for cardiovascular and open-heart surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU setting. Utilizes advanced clinical skills to assess monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring complex interventions and continuous monitoring.

Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive critical care to post open heart and cardiovascular ICU patients.
Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
Manage and monitor IV drips invasive lines and cardiac monitoring systems.
Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures.
Administer and monitor conscious sedation as required.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document all care in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory standards.

Requirements
Minimum two (2) years of Critical Care experience required.
Minimum two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience required.
Minimum two (2) years of conscious sedation experience required.

Education: BSN

Certifications
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS

License
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
