Our Partners
We work closely with many leading organisations like yours to place our students at the heart of the events industry and we hope youll want to be part of the programme this year. As you know we also highlight outstanding partners in our annual Top 3 Places to Work in the Events Industry and its always a pleasure to showcase companies that create meaningful opportunities for emerging talent.
Benefits of Work Placements
All students come to us having either completed a degree or having previous relevant work experience and are now dedicated to launching a career in the event industry. Work placements form a vital part of our students studies and follow directly after their classroom-based training. We not only train students to be competent at designing and managing events but also in the all-important soft skills such as a strong work ethic teamwork and resilience. When they complete their classroom studies they are keen to put all they have learnt into practice within organisations like yours. (Please see our brochure on our website to get an idea of what is covered in their course.)
Costs
Students recognise that their placement may be unpaid as it forms part of their academic programme. However in line with UK Government guidance on work experience and internships we strongly encourage host organisations to provide payment wherever possible ideally at least the National Minimum Wage. Our students contribute meaningful value to their teams and fair compensation supports them with essential living and travel costs while positioning you as an employer of choice. Where a salary is not feasible some organisations offer contributions towards travel meals or other necessary expenses and we encourage hosts to consider similar support for the next generation of event professionals.
