The D.C. Bar seeks an experienced and proactive marketing and communications specialist to partner with stakeholders across the Bar and support the planning and execution of integrated marketing and communication campaigns in support of Bar programs services publications events and other initiatives.
This role supports the Marketing and Communications team on various communications projects creating and publishing an array of multimedia marketing content and member communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writes edits and distributes compelling content for Bar channels including email campaigns and newsletters invitations social media video and multimedia production and other marketing collateral.
- Liaises with internal clients to support marketing and communication strategies and tactical plans ensuring marketing deliverables are on-message on-brand and completed on time and with a high level of quality.
- Coordinates formats and distributes Bar communications including newsletters electronic invitations and member communications. Leverages the email marketing platform to develop automated emails and deploy targeted personalized communications (benefits programs campaigns etc.) to enhance event registration and campaign delivery.
- Supports ongoing development of and other digital channels including social media working with IT and internal clients to develop and maintain content enhance the user experience and optimize member engagement.
- Collaborates with the editorial team to develop and maintain content for the Washington Lawyer pages on and LinkedIn to amplify our storytelling promote multimedia content and engage our members.
- Strengthens the Bars social media presence and staff engagement through use of the Bars social media tools.
- Creates and maintains image libraries and visual assets (photos videos infographics) for the Bar and each department to support campaigns social media membership benefits programs Bar signage newsletters and Washington Lawyer.
- Creates and distributes easy-to-use social media marketing kits provided to faculty and speakers for the Bars programs.
- Monitors and reports on campaign performance and efficiency of marketing activities including social media digital campaigns and email performance and leverages this data to drive continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree.
- Proficiency in using social media and digital advertising platforms (Clearview Social LinkedIn Analytics Google Ads Google Analytics Meta Ads Manager)
- Proficiency in using design software and other creative applications (Canva).
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and tactics.
- Experience working in an association or professional services organization.
This position is currently a hybrid position with days worked in the office and days worked remotely. The hybrid status of this position may change at any time subject to the Bars discretion.
