Torch is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support full lifecycle software development and maintenance efforts. The selected candidate will analyze user requirements and plan design develop test deploy and maintain software applications while supporting documentation validation and ongoing system improvements.
As a Junior Software Engineer your duties will include the following but are not limited to:
Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and implementation solutions
Plan develop test deploy and maintain software applications
Prepare and maintain required documentation (requirements design test plans user manuals and support documentation)
Participate in software validation verification and testing activities
Support troubleshooting anomaly resolution and system enhancements
Work independently and collaboratively within a development team environment
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
Entry level experience developing software in both Linux and Windows environments
Ability to obtain and maintain a final security clearance
Experience supporting real-time applications
Ability to work independently and within a team
Preferred Qualifications
2 years related experience.
Experience working within a CMMI development framework
Experience with both procedural and object-oriented programming methods
Experience with high-level and low-level programming (including OS-level or gate-level logic architecture)
