DUTIES:
The Office Manager shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
- Perform receptionist duties by greeting visitors and parents answering the telephone ascertaining the nature of business providing information or redirecting inquires as required
- Conduct inventory and order administrative and academic supplies as required
- Gather and record the daily attendance records for all students
- Perform various computer word processing and typing responsibilities such as forms spreadsheets correspondence school communication student lists and a variety of reports as directed
- Enter data and generate monthly and other reports in the student information accounting and administrative systems as required by the Principal and Division Office personnel
- Perform the financial and accounting functions required to maintain financial records such as bank deposits issue receipts petty cash reports and decentralized budget information
- At all times maintain respectful communication with fellow staff members students and parents
- Promote the vision mission principles and goals of Val Marie School and Chinook School Division
EDUCA T IO N QUAL IFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :
- Certificate/Diploma in Office Administration training at an institution or equivalent
- Prior experience as an Office Manager
- Knowledge of business English spelling and punctuation
- Knowledge of methods and procedures used in maintaining an office
- Knowledge in accounting practices
- Superior technological knowledge in order to provide tech support to other staff members/students
- Knowledge in the operation of equipment such as photocopier fax telephone and computer
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word Excel and database software packages
- Knowledge and experience working within Google: Drive Docs Slides Forms and Hangouts
