Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic dedicated and dynamic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our teaching team at Garnsey (Senior) Campus in Sale Victoria. The successful applicant will be passionate about promoting active lifestyles developing student skills and fostering a positive inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
In this role you will deliver high-quality PE programs across year levels 7-12 supporting students to develop physical skills teamwork confidence and an understanding of health and wellbeing. You will be committed to creating engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and inspire students to participate in physical activity.
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Teach across a range of year levels as assigned.
- Promote safe inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Assess and report on student progress according to school guidelines.
- Facilitate skill development in sports fitness movement and teamwork.
- Organise and participate in extracurricular sporting activities carnivals and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance PE programs and whole-school wellbeing initiatives.
- Passion for teaching and promoting health physical activity and student wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students staff and families.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management strategies.
- Commitment to professional growth and reflective practice.
- Science as a second method will be highly regarded.
