What youll be doing

Credit Risk Management works with its partners to understand measure and monitor risk and adhere to CIBCs quality and concentration policies in order to maintain a risk profile that is consistent with the CIBC Risk Appetite Statement. As the Manager Real Estate Credit Risk you will form an integral part of the Real Estate Credit this role you will be responsible for adjudicating real estate credit applications within their delegated lending authority managing a portfolio of real estate credits and partnering with Real Estate Finance Division officers through regular dialogue consultation and periodic visits.

How youll succeed

  • Credit Adjudication Adjudicate credit applications for Real Estate Commercial Banking clients within a designated portfolio and lending authority.

  • Portfolio Management Proactively manage a credit portfolio of Real Estate Commercial Banking clients through sound financial and non-financial analysis as well as an understanding of emerging trends within the regional economic industry and business environments.

  • Relationship Building Make an impact by developing strong relationships with internal partners external intermediaries and industry associations.

  • Team Building Provide mentoring advice and guidance on credit risk matters to internal partners.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. 3 years experience in commercial or business banking and/or credit adjudication experience.

  • You have a degree. In Business Finance an/or related field.

  • Its an asset. You possess CPA or CFA designation.
