JOB SUMMARY
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all engineering activities throughout the organization including as they relate to quality production operations facilities and QAFs ERP infrastructure
This role will have direct oversight of engineering and the engineering team including design engineering product/process development NPI leadership CNC programming cost estimation and is responsible for engineering support across the organization including with suppliers vendors and customers. This role has shared leadership of the CNC machine shop with the CNC Technical Specialist and is a key part of the companys continuous improvement (CI) program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (But not limited to the following)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SPECIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees managers customers and outside service providers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such a exponents logarithms quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution determination of test reliability and validity analysis of variance correlation techniques sampling theory and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
