The Waisman Center is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about human development developmental disabilities and neurodegenerative diseases throughout the lifespan. One of 15 centers of its kind in the United States the Waisman Center encompasses laboratories for biomedical and behavioral research several scientific research cores and a clinical biomanufacturing facility for the production of pharmaceuticals for early stage human clinical addition to its research efforts the Center provides an array of services to people with developmental disabilities offers numerous educational and outreach programs to young children and their families and trains scientists and clinicians who will serve our nation in the future.
This position is a member of the Waisman Centers Administrative Core and is responsible for providing day-to-day support in Human Resources and Finance functions. This includes performing financial transactions involving purchasing invoicing reimbursements and participant payments; and human resources transactions such as auditing and processing payroll staffing transactions and other general administrative responsibilities.

One to two years of professional experience working in human resources finance and/or administration preferably within a university environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with Workday or other human resources and/or accounting systems.
Ability to exercise judgment discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to use customer service techniques to respond to inquiries thoroughly and accurately while maintaining professionalism.
Attention to detail effective time management organizational and independent decision-making skills are essential.
Knowledge of University of Wisconsin policies and procedures relating to human resources and business services.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
Associates degree in a relevant field of study such as human resources accounting or business preferred.
