Summary

Under the direction of the manager this position is responsible for the development and evaluation of advanced IoV technologies that connect vehicles infrastructure cloud platforms and mobility services. The role focuses on creating new functions and value through integration of connected vehicle data V2X communication cloudbased control and crossdomain vehicle systems. This includes leveraging information from cloud services to enhance vehicle performance safety and user experience.

Essential Functions

IoV System & Function Development

Develop/collaborate new IoVbased functions and services by integrating connected vehicle data cloud analytics and crossdomain vehicle technologies (chassis powertrain AD/ADAS).
Implement and evaluate connected vehicle algorithms including V2Xenabled control logic cloudassisted decision algorithms and cooperative driving functions.
Develop masterplans for IoV system development aligned with corporate business objectives.

Cloud Data and Communication Integration

Implement vehicletocloud and cloudtovehicle communication frameworks including data pipelines OTA update strategies and realtime connectivity solutions.
Integrate invehicle networks (CAN Ethernet) with external communication protocols (CV2X DSRC 5G).
Analyze largescale connected vehicle datasets to derive insights validate algorithms and improve system performance.

Testing Validation and Experimentation

Develop test plans for IoV functions including simulationbased validation HIL testing and onroad connected vehicle experiments.
Support test vehicle builds and prototype systems integrating communication sensing and cloudconnected components.

Documentation Collaboration and Customer Interface

Create technical documentation design specifications and system architecture descriptions.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams cloud service teams and external partners to advance IoV technologies.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Experience to develop an IoV system or control algorithm with embedded unit by Linux such as NVIDIA DRIVE AGX ORIN and AWS implementation is required.
Experience with connected vehicle systems IoV architectures or V2X communication technologies.
Ability to design and evaluate algorithms for connected vehicle control cooperative driving or cloudassisted decision making.
Programming skills in C C MATLAB/Simulink; Python preferred.
Knowledge of invehicle communication protocols (CAN Ethernet) and external communication (CV2X DSRC 5G).
Experience with modelbased development tools (MATLAB/Simulink CarSim).
Understanding of vehicle dynamics chassis and powertrain systems and embedded automotive systems.
Ability to analyze and utilize sensor and connected vehicle data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Education: Bachelors degree in engineering or related field required; Masters degree preferred.

Experience: 0 - 2 years of related experience with a Masters degree or minimum of 3 years with a Bachelors degree. Exposure to automotive engineering required including embedded systems vehicle control and electrical chassis/powertrain systems.

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ha

Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed.

Work Environment: Primarily in a professional business office with exposure to testing areas and periodic exposure to manufacturing environments.
