The NFL Films Camera Departments Equipment Prep Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the production team by preparing and organizing camera equipment used in filming NFL games events and documentaries. This position requires a strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills verbalizing technical needs and to ensure that the camera equipment is in optimal condition for each shoot.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with all camera equipment logistics including inventory management and tracking.
- Manage logistical challenges related to equipment movement and storage.
- Collaborate with camera operators directors of photography and other team members to understand the specific needs of each shoot.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and operating camera equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the camera department.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Familiarity with industry-standard computer programs for organization (Excel Teams Power Point etc).
- Experience with assembly/disassembly of various camera rigs and setups is a plus.
- Rental house experience is a plus
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of Production Experience
Required Education:
- College Degree preferred
- Experience with Cinema Equipment preferred
Other Key Attributes / Characteristics
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Pivot on the fly.
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Willingness to work an irregular schedule and/or weekends.
- Minimum of a 40 hours per week
Physical Demands:
- The ability to lift 65-pound cases
Travel
- Flexibility to work odd hours weekends and travel to various locations for shoots as needed.
Expected Hours of Work:
Seasonal role up to 7 months.
