Position Overview

This position is responsible for contributing to product and technology research and development efforts in a manner that meets the needs of customers achieves growth and profitability objectives and allows for efficient and effective product introduction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop plan and implement product and technology development projects from conception to production
• Provide technical support to manufacturing by identifying and implementing process and formulation improvements that improve throughput reduce cost enhance quality improve product performance enhance worker safety and protect the environment
• Provide technical support to operations and business/technology development assisting with the identification and assessment of new technology and/or process improvement initiatives
• Establish maintain report on and accomplish the priorities established in a technical project plan; manage and control the budgeted expenses associated with the technical plan
• Recognize and respond to seasonal and project-specific time constraints

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• Masters degree in chemistry required PhD preferred
• 1-2 years professional research or industrial experience required
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
• Detail oriented with strong documentation skillset required
• Ability to travel 10-15% as required

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

• Working conditions include laboratory work as well as office work
• Must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time
• Exposure to dust chemicals hazardous materials etc.
