Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU / ICU
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Pay Rate: $65 $71 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong CVICU and ICU experience for a 13-week night shift contract assignment in Hyannis MA.
This role primarily supports the ICU but requires flexibility to float to CVICU and if needed due to operational demands or low census to Med/Surg Telemetry units.
CVICU experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate timely and complete patient documentation
Conduct ongoing assessments (physical psychological social) from admission through discharge
Develop and communicate care plans with interdisciplinary teams
Administer and monitor medications and treatments
Demonstrate proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring ventilator care and intracranial pressure monitoring
Function effectively in the charge nurse role when assigned
Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff
Adhere to safety protocols including blood and body fluid policies
Participate in quality improvement and patient care evaluations
Maintain ongoing professional development and competency
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Prior Critical Care experience required
CVICU experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Successful completion of facility-required pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) Certification
TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) Certification
Completion of an approved De-escalation Certification Course
Demonstrated expertise in ICU-level monitoring and advanced cardiac care
