Program Overview Program UnitThe Manager Special Projects supports the Centre for Green Building Transformation (CGBT) by leading the day-to-day coordination animation and knowledge capture of the Centre for Green Building Transformation (CGBT) within the 444 Logan Modernization Project.This role is responsible for translating strategic direction into coordinated action ensuring that multiple workstreams - technical social research communications policy and training - move forward in alignment. The Project Manager manages schedules dependencies workflows and communication across teams to ensure that the overall project research and construction outcomes are integrated into a Green Building best practice retrofit and modernization show case.The 444 Logan Modernization Project is a national demonstration initiative that combines a deep energy retrofit of an occupied residential building with the creation of a permanent national knowledge and capacity-building hub - the Centre for Green Building Transformation.What You Will DoDay-to-Day Program Coordination- Coordinate daily and weekly activities across CGBT workstreams and Groundwork teams through the project technical partners - ERA.
- Maintain detailed workplans schedules and task tracking aligned with Project priorities.
- Ensure deliverables are progressing on time and dependencies are actively managed.
- Flag risks bottlenecks or misalignments early and propose mitigation strategies.
Workstream Integration & Delivery Support- Support coordination across core CGBT workstreams including:
- Global benchmarking and partnerships
- Sector innovation and aggregation models
- Retrofit data and post-occupancy learning
- Communications and stakeholder engagement
- Policy and scaling roadmaps
- Training and workforce development
- Support integration of tenant feedback into research communications and policy outputs.
Interface Between Knowledge & Construction Streams- Coordinate the capture of information and data between CGBT teams and construction/tenant engagement teams in consultation with ERA.
- Coordinate information flow from on-site activities to research data capture and communications teams.
- Support alignment between tenant engagement timelines and communications outputs.
Reporting Documentation & Process Management- Prepare progress summaries dashboards and briefing notes for the Project Director.
- Track milestones deliverables and reporting requirements for funders and partners.
- Maintain clear documentation of decisions actions and follow-ups.
- Support Steering Committee preparation and follow-through as required.
Stakeholder & Partner Coordination- Support coordination with external partners including consultants academic institutions industry collaborators and government stakeholders.
- Ensure meetings workshops and events are well-organized documented and outcomes-focused.
What You Bring to the Team- Bachelors or Masters degree in Urban Planning Public Administration Sustainability Communications Architecture Engineering or related field.
- 3 years and over of experience in program or project management within complex multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience working across technical social and policy-oriented teams.
- Familiarity with housing sustainability infrastructure or public-interest projects is an asset.
- Strong organizational coordination and problem-solving skills.
