Rate of Pay:$10.00 per hour
Summary:The purpose of this position is to work during day/evening hours assisting library staff with their duties. Work is to be performed outside of class time. The length of employment is routinely the academic year (fall and spring terms); however some work may be performed during the summer as needed.

Essential Job Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting library and Panther Shop patrons.
- Process purchases using the POS system and check out materials using the Library Management System.
- Shelve books and magazines file materials clip newspaper articles and maintain usage statistics.
- Create engaging library displays.
- Keep library spaces and equipment clean organized and in order. Assist with dusting general cleaning and closing procedures.
- Report any issues or maintenance needs to the library supervisor.
- Complete timesheets accurately and on time.
Abilities:Good people skills and a helpful attitude; strong technology and database research skills and ability to communicate them to others; good organizational skills and ability to take direction; attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Education and Experience:HS Diploma or equivalent
