Due to continued growth we are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our expanding team.
About the Role
We have opportunities available across:
- Workshop positions
- Onsite maintenance roles
- Field service positions
Key Responsibilities
- Strip repair and rebuild mechanical equipment
- Replace bearings shafts and motors
- Perform precision machine alignments
- Attend breakdowns and complete scheduled maintenance
- Carry out basic welding (MIG ARC TIG - highly regarded)
- Perform basic machining (lathe and mill)
- Work with pneumatics and hydraulic systems
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6 years experience as a Mechanical Fitter (essential)
- Trade qualification (highly regarded)
- Experience within meat processing or heavy industrial environments (advantage)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Sound mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (highly regarded)
- Strong commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Requirements
- Full drivers licence
- Forklift licence
- Ability to obtain boom lift scissor lift and other high-risk licences
