JOB SUMMARY
The Engineer III of Network is responsible for implementation installation and configuration for new and existing network infrastructure addition providing design and planning for incorporating new network technologies according to industry best practices as well as documentation and support for these technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install configure and maintain network hardware and connectivity including network switches routers wireless access points and firewalls as appropriate
Diagnose and troubleshoot network hardware connectivity and firmware/software as appropriate
Work with vendors and PODS leadership to plan and implement new network technologies to insure the companys business systems are secure
Plan for and coordinate network growth
Provide high-level (tier 3) user support via a variety of methods and provide technical expertise to users by verbal and/or written means
Provide on-call support for network systems as necessary
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES
Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Director of Information Security
Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/or pay decisions performance management)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
B.S. in Computer Science Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field required OR equivalent experience (degree preferred)
4 - 7 years experience in the MIS or Information Technology field including at least 3 years in a network engineering role or equivalent including proven experience managing a multi-site multi-provider heterogeneous network
Demonstrated proficiency documenting network architecture topology and configurations
Recent experience with Cisco routing switching and security technologies
Foundational understanding of telephony concepts such as PBX and VoIP
Hands on experience with SDN and SD-WAN
Microsoft Certifications such as MCSE are preferred
Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
Or an equivalent combination of education training or experience
