Registered Nurse Pediatric Critical Care Travel Position

Pay: $2008.80/week (plus $2450 completion bonus per contract up to $7350 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading healthcare facility in Charleston SC on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide advanced care to critically ill infants children and adolescents in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate has strong pediatric critical care experience demonstrates sound clinical judgment in high-pressure situations and is dedicated to delivering family-centered evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Monitor and manage ventilators cardiac monitors infusion pumps and other advanced life-support equipment.
- Administer medications fluids and specialized treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
- Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated effective care.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients families about diagnoses treatment plans and discharge care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments interventions and patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control standards safety protocols and best practices in pediatric critical care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in South Carolina (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 12 years of recent pediatric critical care (PICU) experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); ACLS and CCRN preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment communication and decision-making skills.
- Compassionate family-centered approach to patient care.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
