Job Summary
Our Parts Dept is looking for a Full or Part driver.
Job Description
- Delivery and Pickup:Safely transport automotive parts from the dealership to customers and pick up returns cores and warranty items.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate delivery logs obtain customer signatures and ensure invoices match the items delivered.
- Vehicle Maintenance:Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle (e.g. checking oil fuel tire pressure) and keep it clean.
- Customer Service:Act professionally and courteously when interacting with mechanics body shop staff and other clients.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws company safety policies
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Drivers License & Record:A valid drivers license with a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record - MVR) for the past 3-5 years is required.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to lift load and move parts and boxes frequently often weighing up to 5075 lbs.
- Experience: Prior driving experience (1-2 years) in a business-to-business (B2B) or automotive environment preferred but not required
- Technical Skills:Familiarity with local routes and proficiency with GPS navigation systems.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive parts is preferred not required
- Age Requirements: Often 25 years or older for insurance purposes.
- Other: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- DO NOT NEED CDL
