Job Summary
Join our dynamic team at New World Foods (part of Kepak Group) in York as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer!
This full-time permanent role is all about ensuring our onsite equipment runs smoothly. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer youll collaborate across different departments work closely with the production team mentor an apprentice and engage with a variety of suppliers.
This position will require a certain level of flexibility working across Monday - Saturday with occasional weekends
Rotating shifts are: 6am 2pm and 2pm -10pm.
Main Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Electrical and Mechanical issues on production lines
- Repair electro-mechanical PLC-controlled equipment and manage pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Provide technical support for plant facilities including air refrigeration and steam systems
- Perform Preventive & Predictive Maintenance routines
- Monitor line and machine performance
- Collaborate with suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications
- Maintain cleanliness in work and transit areas
- Engage in training and development for job-related skills
- Update maintenance management system (CMMS) and record all maintenance activities
Requirements
- Electrical Trades qualification mechanical experience would be an advantage
- Previous experience in a simular Multi-Skilled role ideally within a Food manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong diagnostic/root cause analysis skills
- Participation as team member and willing to work on own initiative
