We Are Looking For

The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing developing and managing scalable data pipelines and architectures. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data integration processing and analytics. The Data Engineer will also play a key role in optimizing data workflows and ensuring the quality and integrity of data used across the organization.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities)

• Build database systems of high availability and quality in coordination with data engineers
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user in appropriate format and in a timely manner
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
• Determine enforce and document database policies procedures and standards
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security privacy and integrity
• Monitor database performance implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• Work with data architects and other IT specialists to set up maintain and monitor data networks

What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):

• BS/BA in Computer Science or a related and or 7 years of proven experience as a database administrator preferred
• Build database systems of high availability and quality in coordination with data engineers
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user in appropriate format and in a timely manner
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
• Determine enforce and document database policies procedures and standards
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security privacy and integrity
• Monitor database performance implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• Expertise with SQL Server MySQL Oracle or other relational database management system
• Certification in SQL Server MySQL Oracle or other relational database management system Knowledge of database structure languages such as SQL or SQL/PSM
• Advanced knowledge of database security backup and recovery and performance monitoring standards for Microsoft SQL and Oracle database systems
• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
• Familiarity with database management best practices
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions such as Amazon RDS or Azure SQL Database
• Strong understanding of database queries
• Knowledge of database design and theories
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
